Today you’ll meet Nicole Cerda, our very own world traveler. When Nicole is not busy working in digital marketing for Southside, she enjoys crossing destinations off her bucket list. Nicole says, “I love travel because I get to experience new food, new culture, get to meet new people, and I just get to be submerged in a whole different world in that moment.” 

Nicole’s adventures have taken her many places, but one stands out as the most meaningful. “I’ve been to many different places around the world, but my favorite trip that I ever had was when I got to take my friends on an annual family trip to Mexico,” she said. “I was able to show them the whole Mexican culture, my grandfather’s house, and have a good time together. I got to mix my two favorite things, which are my family and my friends, in my favorite place.”

Despite her travels, she still considers one place to truly be her home. “East Texas is my home because of my family and my friends and my community,” Nicole said. “I’ve met some amazing people here and made some great relationships personally.”
